In this paper, the single-machine scheduling problem is studied by simultaneously considering due-date assignment and group technology. The objective is to determine the optimal sequence of groups and jobs within groups and optimal due-date assignment to minimize the weighted sum of the absolute value in lateness and due-date assignment cost, where the weights are position dependent. For the common due-date assignment, slack due-date assignment, and different due-date assignment, an O n log n time algorithm is proposed, respectively, to solve the (...) problem, where n is the number of jobs. Continuous subgraph matching problem on dynamic graph has become a popular research topic in the field of graph analysis, which has a wide range of applications including information retrieval and community detection. Specifically, given a query graph q, an initial graph G 0, and a graph update stream △ G i, the problem of continuous subgraph matching is to sequentially conduct all possible isomorphic subgraphs covering △ G i of q on G i. Since knowledge graph is a directed labeled (...) multigraph having multiple edges between a pair of vertices, it brings new challenges for the problem focusing on dynamic knowledge graph. One challenge is that the multigraph characteristic of knowledge graph intensifies the complexity of candidate calculation, which is the combination of complex topological and attributed structures. Another challenge is that the isomorphic subgraphs covering a given region are conducted on a huge search space of seed candidates, which causes a lot of time consumption for searching the unpromising candidates. To address these challenges, a method of subgraph-indexed sequential subdivision is proposed to accelerating the continuous subgraph matching on dynamic knowledge graph. Firstly, a flow graph index is proposed to arrange the search space of seed candidates in topological knowledge graph and an adjacent index is designed to accelerate the identification of candidate activation states in attributed knowledge graph. Secondly, the sequential subdivision of flow graph index and the transition state model are employed to incrementally conduct subgraph matching and maintain the regional influence of changed candidates, respectively. Finally, extensive empirical studies on real and synthetic graphs demonstrate that our techniques outperform the state-of-the-art algorithms. (shrink)

Let G = V G, E G be a molecular graph, where V G and E G are the sets of vertices and edges. A topological index of a molecular graph is a numerical quantity which helps to predict the chemical/physical properties of the molecules. The Wiener, Wiener polarity, and the terminal Wiener indices are the distance-based topological indices. In this paper, we described a linear time algorithm that computes the Wiener index for acyclic graphs and extended this algorithm for (...) unicyclic graphs. Tomasz z Akwinu nie kojarzy się w pierwszym odruchu z kimś, kto kładłby mocny akcent na teologię Boga uniżonego we wcieleniu i na krzyżu. Tak przynajmniej wydaje się wielu współczesnym teologom, zwłaszcza tym, którzy są przedstawicielami szeroko rozumianego nurtu kenotycznego. Według nich Akwinata jest przykładem myśliciela, w którego teologii absolutność Boga, Jego transcendencja, niezmienność, suwerenność i potęga zostały tak mocno podkreślone, że ma to wręcz uniemożliwiać adekwatne uchwycenie zdumiewającej prawdy objawionej w Chrystusie: Bóg jest Bogiem uniżającym siebie samego. Zatem, zdaniem (...) wielu współczesnych teologów, proponowana przez Tomasza wizja Boga ma więcej wspólnego ze skonstruowaną za pomocą metafizyki filozoficzną doktryną Absolutu niż z Bogiem, który stał się człowiekiem i umarł na krzyżu dla naszego zbawienia. Czy jednak zarzut ten jest słuszny? Czy Akwinata rzeczywiście nie dostrzega uniżenia Boga? Właśnie z próby odpowiedzenia na te pytania zrodziła się niniejsza książka. Ze Wstępu. (shrink)

The second meeting of British and Soviet philosophers, continuing the discussion of problems of ethics begun in the fall of 1968 in England, was held in Tbilisi in October 1969. This time the British philosophers journeyed to our country, by agreement between the Alliance of Friendship Societies and the Society of Friends . The group of five included philosophy teachers at a number of universities: David Bell , with whom we were well acquainted from our debates in East Greenstead, Steven (...) Lucas , Edward Honderik , Bernard Harrison , whom we had also met during our visit to Brighton, and the Secretary for European Affairs of the British Quaker organization, Alan Davis. On our side, the discussion was conducted by L. N. Mitrokhin and O. G. Drobnitskii , A. A. Ivin, N. Z. Chavchavadze, and A. F. Begiashvili. A group of Soviet philosophers visited England from September 21 to October 4, 1968. There they participated in discussions on problems of the philosophy of morality. The trip was organized jointly by the Alliance of Friendship Societies and the Society of Friends in England. The British Society of Friends has long been conducting a diversified program of international cultural ties and personal contacts. The Quakers hold the latter to be particularly important in achieving mutual understanding among peoples. This was, however, (...) the first meeting of philosophers of our two countries. (shrink)

In recent years, Marxist ethicists have been turning with increasing frequency to the question of the structure of morality. This question has numerous aspects: the identification in morality of the principal aspects with differing ontological status; differentiation in morality of various components that, in their interaction, comprise the mechanism of normative regulation ; division of the object of ethical research into more specialized spheres of study; and construction of a system of categories in ethics that will in some way reflect (...) the structure of morality. Definite viewpoints have already been expressed on all these questions; discussions and debates are under way. The author of the present article shall limit his task to one of the narrower questions - analysis of the structure of moral consciousness. This task includes the following factors: study of the conceptual structure of moral thought, its formal schema and constructs; establishment of the place of each of the forms of concepts in a single system of moral consciousness - their logical relation and connection, subordination, and sequence of incorporation into the system ; and certain questions of the historical shaping of the structure of moral consciousness and the genesis of its concepts. [See previously translated reports in Soviet Studies in Philosophy, Winter 1970-71 - Editor.] Like the previous trips, this one was organized by the Association of Soviet Friendship Societies and the British Society of Friends.
